![]() MACES will be hosting a networking reception for MACES members on Friday, September 27, at the Quality Inn of Auburn Hills from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.; conveniently, after the Friday Supervision Training session (co-sponsored by TMCTI). This will be a great opportunity to meet other MACES members, meet the MACES Executive Board, and develop a network of counseling professionals who share similar interests regarding counselor education and supervision, as well as your specialty area(s). If you are nearing the hours needed for your LPC status (or are already an LPC) and interested in providing supervision in the near future, this could be a fantastic step toward developing your network and having questions answered regarding achieving supervisor status. We will be sending out an evite to the MACES membership for the reception, which will include wine, non-alcoholic beverages, cheese, and light appetizers. If you are currently not a MACES member and would like to join, please follow this link to the MCA membership page: http://www.michigancounselingassociation.com/member-application.html We look forward to seeing you there! ![]() MACES is announcing its next supervision training, presented by The Michigan Counselors Training Institute (TMCTI) from September 27-29, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. each day. We are excited to be co-sponsoring this training again, which last took place in November 2012 in conjunction with the MCA/MSCA Conference. The training will take place at the Quality Inn of Auburn Hills (1461 North Opdyke Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326; phone:(248) 370-0044). When registering for hotel accommodations at the Quality Inn, please mention you are a MACES training registrant. Training registration is available on the MACES website (or, follow this link: Training Registration). Both MACES and TMCTI are looking forward to another successful training in order to enhance the counseling and supervision capabilities for Michigan LPCs, as well as promote the counseling profession. So great, Jim! Wonderful to get this up and running. Thank you for all your help with our website and with this blog...You've been fantastic!
Good news for our June 17th MACES meeting - Dr. Luellen Ramey will be our speaker and the title of her talk is: Luellen Ramey: Reflections on 30 years in Counselor Education. Lu has many anecdotes to share, along with wisdom gained along the way, and inspiration for us as we continue on our journey as counselor educators and supervisors. Invitations will be emailed out soon - The meeting will take place on Eastern Michigan University's campus (10:00 am - 2:30 pm) at the Student Center. A delicious lunch will be served. Our MACES meeting is an excellent opportunity to engage with our colleagues, discuss current issues impacting counselor education/supervision, and be inspired by Luellen's words of wisdom...Hope to see many of you there! |
